What is this tool?
The PDF protection tool adds password and encryption to your files to prevent unauthorized access. Protect sensitive documents, confidential contracts, financial reports, and intellectual property. You can also selectively restrict printing, copying, and editing. The tool uses AES 256-bit encryption — the same encryption standard used by banks and government institutions. You can set an open password (prevents anyone from viewing content) and/or a permissions password (allows viewing but prevents printing or copying).
How to Use

Tips & Best Practices
- 💡Use a strong password: at least 12 characters with letters, numbers, and symbols.
- 💡For confidential docs: use open password. For public docs you don't want copied: use permissions password.
- 💡Save the password in a safe place — it cannot be recovered if lost!
- 💡To share a protected document: send the password through a different channel (e.g., document by email and password by text).
- 💡After protection, add a "Confidential" watermark using the Watermark tool for additional visual warning.
